DeHaven Obtains Voluntary Dismissal

June 5, 2017 | General Liability

Last month, George DeHaven received a voluntary dismissal of a third-party action in a labor law case. The action was brought by a union window washer who fell from a ladder in a building owned by Trinity Real Estate.

The third-party action, asserted against the installer of the windows the plaintiff was cleaning, claimed that the windows were somehow defective. They were actually installed 13 years prior to the accident.

We were able to establish that there was no defect, and that the accident was caused by whomever had previously washed the windows and failed to properly reattach and lock them.
