Timothy J. BangAssociate
Timothy Bang is an Associate in Rivkin Radler’s Compliance, Investigations & White Collar and Insurance Fraud Practice Groups.
Timothy helps insurers prosecute civil lawsuits under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, including affirmative actions to recover insurer claim payments to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys, public adjusters and others involved in complex, large-scale insurance fraud schemes.
Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Timothy served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting cases from inception to grand jury indictment, conducting motion practice, hearings, trials and/or dispositions. As a felony trial assistant, he prosecuted a wide variety of cases, including attempted murder, assault, gun possession, burglary and robbery. Additionally, he drafted numerous search warrants, subpoenas and trap-and-trace warrants used to locate cell sites.
While a law student at Hofstra University School of Law, Timothy received the Pro Bono Gold Level Public Service Award for spending over 750 hours in various public service internships.
He is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey. Timothy is also a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York.
In his spare time, Timothy enjoys watching soccer and is an avid Manchester United fan.
