Kathryn Schulz Ches

Associate

Kathryn Ches is an Associate in Rivkin Radler’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group, in the Jacksonville office. She represents insurers on a broad range of matters including coverage actions, statutory bad faith claims, property damage disputes, and automobile diminished value.

Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Kathryn was an Assistant State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit. She handled thousands of cases in county, circuit, and juvenile court. She developed an array of skills as an ASA including handling pre-trial filings, depositions, hearings, jury trials and bench trials.

Kathryn graduated from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and has a BA from Wake Forest University. She is a native of Jacksonville and graduated from the Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

With a passion for helping in the community, Kathryn served as committee chair for Community PedsCare, as a member of the Make-a-Wish Foundation’s fundraising committee, and as a volunteer for the Florida Guardian ad Litem. She can often be found volunteering as a youth sports’ coach in various basketball and running clubs around Jacksonville.

Outside of the office, Kathryn loves spending time with her family (mostly watching her children play sports), running, and checking out new local restaurants.

Since 2019, The Legal 500 has recommended Rivkin Radler’s Insurance Coverage practice in the insurance: advice to insurers category. Additionally, the group been recognized in the Chambers USA directory since 2015.
