As an Associate in Rivkin Radler’s Personal, Family & Business Planning Practice Group, Joseph Russo concentrates his practice on tax law and has extensive experience providing tax advisory services to professional investors and entrepreneurs. He advises clients on a wide array of federal, state, and local tax matters, including pass-through entity and corporate matters, domestic entity structuring, mergers and acquisitions, business formation, inbound and outbound structuring, prospective tax planning, and international tax planning and analysis covering foreign corporations and partnerships, branch operations, withholding taxes, and foreign tax credits. In addition to income tax matters, Joseph advises clients on estate and succession planning, including the transfer of business interests and estate and gift taxation.

Joseph also has extensive experience providing advice to individuals and businesses on federal and state compliance issues and audits for both estate tax and income tax returns. Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Joseph served as a Tax Manager at a large tax advisory and accounting firm.

Joseph is an avid marathon and ultramarathon runner.
