Joseph Niczky
AssociateJoseph Niczky is an associate in Rivkin Radler’s Commercial Litigation practice group. He represents clients across many industries in a diverse range of commercial disputes.
Prior to joining Rivkin, Joseph worked in the litigation and insurance coverage groups of two international law firms where he successfully litigated breach of contract, tort, and securities cases on behalf of his clients. Joseph’s past matters include representing an executive in an action challenging the enforceability of a non-compete agreement with his former employer; representing a chemicals company in an insurance dispute stemming from a fire; representing numerous companies seeking insurance coverage for their lost profits caused by the COVID-19 pandemic; representing a hedge fund seeking enforcement of an oral contract; and representing several companies in investigations by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. He has also represented both policyholders and insurers in insurance coverage matters.
Joseph is committed to and enjoys pro bono work. He has represented pro bono clients in immigration, housing, and family court matters. He was recognized as an Empire State Counsel by the New York State Bar Association for his pro bono service multiple years in his career.
Joseph earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a two-time Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and was a member of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review. He graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a bachelor’s in history.
Joseph is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
