Jonah H. Blumenthal is an Associate in the Personal, Family & Business Planning Practice Group. His primary areas of practice include estate and tax planning, estate administration and guardianship matters.

Jonah assists clients with the preparation of a variety of estate and tax planning documents including wills, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies and both revocable and irrevocable trusts. He advises clients in all stages of the estate administration process from petitioning the Surrogate’s Court through the collection and distribution of assets. He frequently appears on behalf of his clients in various Surrogate’s Court proceedings throughout the five boroughs and Long Island.

Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Jonah was an associate in the tax, trusts and estates and corporate departments of a prominent Long Island law firm. During law school, Jonah volunteered at the St. Vincent De Paul Securities Arbitration Clinic representing underserved investors in claims before FINRA and served as a judicial intern for the late Hon. Edward A. Maron in the Supreme Court of Nassau County.

Jonah is a committee member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association (Trusts and Estates Sections) and a committee member of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County, Inc. He is also a frequent speaker for the Jewish Law Students Association at St. Johns Law School and is a member of the law school’s Young Alumni Committee.

Jonah was named a 2021 to 2023 Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Star (Estate & Probate).
