Jefferson Wheeler’s practice concentrates in the areas of commercial litigation involving insurance coverage and class actions, and employment-based immigration.

He assists insurance carriers by defending actions against healthcare providers who perpetuate fraud and unlawful billing practices. He also assists with auto damage billing discrepancies, auto glass fraud and investigations, PIP deductible election and application issues, and other healthcare billing issues.

Jefferson assists employers in seeking non-immigrant and immigrant status for their employees. He has extensive experience with the PERM-based green card process primarily for information technology professionals, engineers and pharmacists, among other professionals.

Jefferson also has prior experience in eDiscovery, counseling startups and forming companies, advising clients with their long-term estate planning goals, litigation in probate courts and other civil matters.

During law school, Jefferson was a founding member of the school’s Business and Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and a member of the Student Professional Development Committee. He received the book award in Business Development.

In his spare time, Jefferson assists the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and volunteers at his church, local car shows and events.
