Jeannine M. Farino concentrates her practice in litigating complex tort claims and bankruptcy proceedings in federal and state courts.
As a part of Rivkin Radler’s Complex Torts & Product Liability and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Groups, Jeannine represents physicians, hospitals, adult care facilities, landowners, management companies, corporations and individuals in cases involving medical practice, premises liability, construction accidents, product liability and toxic torts, including exposure to lead based paint, asbestos, herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals. Jeannine is proficient in managing cases in all phases of discovery and trial preparation, and has helped her clients obtain important and favorable rulings.
Jeannine represents creditors, creditors’ committees, lenders, academic institutions and businesses in consumer bankruptcy proceedings, restructurings, acquisitions, and liquidations before the bankruptcy courts. She currently serves on the Consumer Lawyers Advisory Committee and the Local Rules Committee for Bankruptcy Court of the Eastern District of New York.
Jeannine has been named the Vice Chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Committee. While in law school, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of Touro Law Center’s Journal of Race, Gender and Ethnicity. Jeannine was also a member of the Women’s Bar Association, ADR Society and Student Disaster Relief Network. She represented Touro Law Center at the American Bar Association’s Client Counseling and Negotiation regional competitions. Jeannine is a member of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation and the Long Island Women’s Collaborative.
Jeannine is the founder and chair of Rivkin Radler’s Women’s Initiative Committee. In her spare time, Jeannine volunteers in her community and with the National Kidney Foundation.
