Jann has spent the entirety of her career representing individuals and corporate entities in the areas of landlord-tenant law, real estate litigation, and civil and commercial litigation, with a strong focus on representing landlords in multiple facets of legal representation.
Jann was most recently the head of the Administrative Law and Litigation Departments at a midsize law firm, with a deep knowledge of the city, state and federal regulations and laws relating to real estate litigation and landlords’ ownership interests. She has a diverse background in general civil and commercial litigation, handling every aspect of those matters from the commencement of an action to trial and through the appeals process, as well as representing clients in criminal matters related to the management or ownership of multiple dwellings in various local, city and state jurisdictions.
Jann has successfully assisted clients defending discrimination proceedings initiated pursuant to state and federal law before the City of New York Commission on Human Rights, the New York State Division of Human Rights and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Additionally, her experience extends to administrative proceedings under the Rent Stabilization Code and Rent Stabilization Laws adjudicated before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal and performing due diligence related to the purchase of buildings.
Admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District, Jann is a former Chapter Justice of the LaGuardia Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International.
