Ivette Reyes is an Associate in Rivkin Radler’s General Liability Practice Group. As part of her practice, Ivette defends a variety of clients in matters relating to premises liability claims, construction/labor law claims, personal injury, negligent supervision and motor vehicle collisions.

Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Ivette was an associate attorney at a large law firm where she represented nationally recognized commercial clients against lawsuits arising out of transportation services rendered in NY.

Ivette began her legal career at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. During her four years as an Assistant District Attorney, Ivette prosecuted hundreds of both felony and misdemeanor cases including assault, robbery, burglary, weapon possession, grand larceny, vehicular crime and drug-related offenses. She was involved in all phases of litigation from pre-arrest investigation through sentencing, including the intermediate stages of Grand Jury presentations, hearings and trial.

Ivette obtained her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. There, she studied abroad at the University of Oxford, England, as an International Human Rights Scholar. She also participated as a student-attorney in GW Law’s Prisoner-Re-Entry Clinic where she successfully argued before the U.S. Parole Commission in a Grant of Parole hearing. As a student, Ivette was also an active member of the Latino Law Students Association (“LLSA”) and the Black Law Students’ Association (“BLSA”). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and a double minor in Public Relations & International Studies from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Ivette is originally from New Jersey and spent some of her childhood living in the Dominican Republic. In her free time, Ivette enjoys food & travel, spending time with family and friends and volunteering with youth and minority groups. She is also fluent in Spanish.
