Christine S. Varghese is an Associate in the firm’s Construction Practice Group, where she represents developers, architects, engineers, construction managers, and contractors in both transactional and litigation matters. Christine provides counseling on various aspects of construction law, including contract negotiation, license agreements for access to adjoining properties, payment disputes, delay claims, and performance disputes. She works closely with clients to ensure their projects are structured to minimize risk and maximize efficiency, helping to avoid disputes before they arise.

Christine has extensive experience prosecuting and defending a wide array of construction disputes, including delay claims, breach of contract, negligent design, and mechanic’s liens. She has helped her clients obtain dismissals before trial and has successfully resolved many cases through mediation and strategic settlement negotiation.

Christine graduated from American University Washington College of Law, where she was a member of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law. While in law school, Christine earned several awards for her advocacy skills, including the Mooers Trophy (awarded to an outstanding student in Trial Advocacy), winner of the Peter James Johnson National Civil Rights Trial Competition, and a semi-finalist at the Texas Young Lawyers Association National Trial Competition. Christine is currently an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at Fordham University School of Law.

In her free time, Christine enjoys traveling, playing basketball, and spending time with family and friends.
