An Associate in Rivkin Radler’s Real Estate, Zoning & Land Use Practice Group, Amanda counsels and represents landlords and tenants in commercial transactions and litigation disputes.

Prior to joining the Firm, Amanda began her career as an attorney at a law firm that specialized in landlord/tenant and landlord associated administrative law. She routinely appeared in the New York City, Westchester and Long Island courts to handle housing litigation proceedings, while also working in the Firm’s Administrative Law Department. Amanda was successful in assisting owners before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, including defending against rent overcharge claims and building-wide service complaints. She has also assisted clients with Substantial Rehabilitation and Major Capital Improvement applications, TPU Audits, annual registration requirements and the preparation of Petitions for Administrative Review (PAR).

Amanda was also successful in defending complaints before the State Division of Human Rights and the NYC Commission on Human Rights. She also has experience defending landlords before the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, Environmental Control Board and on building and fire code violations in New York City Criminal Court, as well as with negotiating contracts and handling closings throughout the five boroughs and Westchester County.

Amanda earned her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. She was a recipient of the School’s Public Service Award, having completed over 300 hours of pro bono work as a Student Attorney in the Disaster Recovery Clinic, where she assisted members of the community in their legal proceedings stemming from Superstorm Sandy. Amanda was the Managing Editor of the Hofstra Law Journal of International Business of Law and a member of the Dean’s List. Prior to attending Hofstra Law School, Amanda received her undergraduate degree from Molloy College in 2013, where she was a member of the Dean’s List and Salutatorian of the Criminal Justice Department.
