Alex B. Pia is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. He concentrates his practice on commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate, construction (including license agreements and RPAPL 881 litigation), and complex landlord-tenant litigation. He represents developers, major estate landlords and management companies, brokers, condo/co-op boards and shareholders, tenants, financial services firms and fiduciaries, business operators of all sizes, and high-net-worth individuals.

Beyond his litigation practice, Alex often acts as outside general counsel, advising business operators of all sizes in entity formation, strategic planning, negotiations, regulatory compliance, and pre-dispute resolution.

Alex also has experience in appellate litigation, having contributed to arguments before the appellate division and Court of Appeals.

While attending Brooklyn Law School, Alex served as an editor of the Brooklyn Law Review and interned for the Hon. Katherine Levine of Kings County Supreme Court.

Alex is a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee.

Alex has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2022 and 2023.
