Rivkin Radler Welcomes Six Associates

Uniondale, New York ? October 2013 – Rivkin Radler LLP announces the addition of new associates Christopher Barbarello, Jannine Farino, Henry Mascia, Jacqueline Siegel, Shana Slawitsky and Richard Yam.

Christopher Barbarello, of Hempstead, NY, has joined the Litigation & Appeals Practice Group.  Mr. Barbarello’s practice focuses on no-fault insurance cases involving insurance fraud and defense of insurance companies against fraudulent claims by medical providers.  He sat for the July 30-31, 2013 New York State Bar Examination and is awaiting results.

Mr. Barbarello earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University Law School.

Jeannine M. Farino, of New Hyde Park, NY, has joined the Health Services, Litigation & Appeals and Products Liability & Toxic Tort Practice Groups.  Ms. Farino focuses her practice on the defense of a variety of cases, including medical malpractice, toxic tort, products liability and general liability cases.

Ms. Farino earned her Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

Henry Mascia, of Dobbs Ferry, NY, has joined the Litigation & Appeals Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mascia worked as an attorney advisor at the U.S. Dept. of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review.  As an advisor, he drafted opinions and memoranda for all three immigration judges at the Varick Street Immigration Court and for the Immigration Judge of the Institutional Removal Program. 

Mr. Mascia earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Pace University School of Law.

Jacqueline Siegel, of Astoria, NY, has joined the Employment & Labor Practice Group.  Ms. Siegel is involved in the defense of a wide range of employment matters, including but not limited to, claims alleging unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour violations.  

Ms. Siegel earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law.

Shana Slawitsky, of Farmingdale, NY, has joined the Litigation & Appeals Practice Group. As a volunteer for the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project, Ms. Slawitsky was a writer and editor of time sensitive appeals to the United Nations High Council on Refugees; she organized and researched legal standards; and filed special immigration Visas for Afghanistan citizens.  

Ms. Slawitsky earned her Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

Richard Yam, of Flushing, NY, has joined the Trusts, Estates & Taxation Practice Group. Mr. Yam focuses his practice on all aspects of estate planning.  He has conducted tax planning for high net worth estates, including drafting and execution of various estate planning documents.

Mr. Yam earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School.
