Lewis to Present at DRI Professional Liability Seminar

Shari Claire Lewis will be a featured presenter at the DRI Professional Liability Seminar being held on December 8-9 at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel 811 7th Avenue, 53rd Street New York, NY 10019.

DRI’s Professional Liability Seminar provides information that will be useful to all attorneys and insurers involved in representing professionals in malpractice actions. This year’s program will discuss emerging issues affecting a broad spectrum of professionals, as well as particular issues facing specific areas of practice.

Ethically, attorneys are required to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of their clients, but there are frequent, knotty issues to interpreting what that means. The session will examine the attorney–client privilege, who owns it, when it is waived, and issues of privilege that may be implicated by discovery, e-discovery, metadata, inadvertent production, and clawbacks.
