Robert Kern focuses his practice on corporate transactions, representing small to mid-sized private companies as well as individuals with an emphasis on the creation and governance of business entities, including:

  • the formation, operation and governance of limited liability companies
  • startups, joint ventures, venture capital and private equity financing
  • mergers and acquisitions
  • employment
  • service and vendor agreements

Bob also advises clients on general commercial matters.

A member of Rivkin Radler’s Corporate Practice Group, Bob’s practice includes drafting and negotiating licenses and providing outside general counsel services to businesses and individuals in the fashion, lifestyle, consumer products and entertainment industries.  In the context of the entertainment industry, he also has experience with film financing agreements, option agreements, talent agreements and book publishing agreements.  Bob has experience with the disposition of the assets of distressed companies out of bankruptcy.

Bob is a frequent speaker at the New York City Bar Center on topics related to the formation and use of limited liability companies and other corporate issues.
