Lawrence S. HanAssociate
Lawrence S. Han represents manufacturers and distributors in product liability and mass tort litigation in both domestic and international forums.
At Rivkin Radler, Lawrence routinely defends product liability claims for personal injury and property damage allegedly arising out of the use of and exposure to various different products, including herbicides, pesticides, and other chemicals. Lawrence is intricately involved in risk assessment for global product liability litigations, which often require devising robust legal strategies, from pre-litigation assessment to the over-all handling of these actions. He has assisted in managing complex and multi-party actions in the U.S., New Zealand, and the Republic of Korea.
Lawrence also has experience handling commercial disputes, securities litigation, bankruptcy matters, and construction litigation. He has argued motions at the trial level and has appellate experience.
New York Super Lawyers named Lawrence a Rising Star in the Metropolitan New York area for 2017.
While attending St. John’s University School of Law, Lawrence participated in the St. John’s Securities Arbitration Clinic, where he prosecuted claims against securities brokers on behalf of individuals in need of legal assistance. Lawrence also served as an assistant director to the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute and he received the CALI Award for Excellence in Administrative Law.
As an undergraduate of Binghamton University, Lawrence was an active member of the Cammy Lee Leukemia Foundation.
Lawrence is a member of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York, the Asian American Bar Association of New York, and the International Association of Korean Lawyers. He is fluent in Korean and enjoys traveling.
