Erez Glambosky has litigated thousands of commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes throughout New York and New Jersey and has been quoted in The New York Times on rent regulatory issues.

A partner in Rivkin Radler’s Commercial Litigation, Construction and Real Estate, Zoning & Land Use Practice Groups, Erez’s practice focuses on real estate law, landlord-tenant, corporate, and commercial litigation. He counsels his clients on all aspects of the landlord-tenant relationship, both residential and commercial, and represents them in related commercial litigation.  His clients are major commercial and residential real estate corporations, asset and portfolio managers, landlords, tenants, developers, and management companies.

Erez frequently appears before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR), the agency that administers rent stabilization and rent control.  He has successfully represented many owners in the defense of tenant rent overcharge complaints, succession disputes, and service reduction claims, as well as in furtherance of major capital improvement applications, luxury decontrol proceedings, and many other matters.

Erez also has significant experience representing clients in administrative proceedings before agencies including the New York City Department of Buildings, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, the New York State Attorney General’s Real Estate Finance Bureau and Consumer Frauds and Protection Bureau, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development.  Erez often is called on by lenders, developers, and landlords to provide counsel and to coordinate the rent regulatory due diligence of a particular acquisition, development, or project.

His notable published decisions include 245 Owner LLC v. Joshua Yaghoubian, 2015 WL 4366190 (Civ. Ct. N.Y.  Co. May 20, 2015), Matter of Washington 921 L.P. v. N.Y.S Division of Housing and Community Renewal, 2010 N.Y. Slip Op. 20420 [29 Misc.3d 1144] and New York Spot, Inc. v. 442 W. 22nd Street LLC, 2010 N.Y. Slip Op. 52083(U) [29 Misc.2d 1128(A)].

Before joining Rivkin Radler, Erez served as general counsel for a New York City-based real estate investment and construction firm with an extensive portfolio of multi-family (several thousand apartments), commercial, retail, and development assets in the New York City region.

Erez serves on the Board of Advisors of the New York Apartment Law Insider and is a member of the Community Housing Improvement Program, a trade association representing more than 2,500 building owners throughout New York City. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Real Estate and Allied Trades Division of the UJA-Federation of New York, and is involved with many other charitable organizations.

Erez was named as a Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in the Metro New York area in Real Estate for 2014 and 2015.
