Anne M. Murray counsels insurance companies on first- and third-party claims, including toxic tort, environmental, product liability, general liability, construction defect, employee benefits liability, labor law, bad faith, and other emerging issues.
Anne is an accomplished litigator. Her achievements include successfully representing a major insurer as lead counsel in a New Jersey coverage action seeking several hundred million dollars in insurance coverage and involving 14 hazardous waste sites across the country. Anne also served as counsel to the insurer throughout the successful jury trial and subsequent appeals in the ACC Chemical insurance coverage action, which sought over $100,000,000 in insurance coverage.
Anne wrote the chapter on environmental and toxic tort insurance coverage issues for New Appleman Law of Liability Insurance, one of the country’s leading insurance law treatises.
She also speaks frequently on insurance law topics, presenting regular seminars on issues ranging from commercial general liability to additional insureds to the impact of recent New York court decisions on the industry.
Anne is active in Rivkin Radler’s pro bono program, assisting the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Nassau County in representing poor and underserved tenants in housing disputes.
In 2005, Anne was named one of the Long Island Business News’ “40 Rising Stars Under 40.” The Insurance Coverage Practice Group since 2016 has been included in the Chambers USA directory in the Insurance: Dispute Resolution: Insurer category. In addition, the group is included in the 2016 Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys.
