Evan R. Schieber
Evan R. Schieber is a Partner in the firm's Litigation and Appeals Practice Group. He specializes in commercial and real estate related litigation with a focus on condominium and cooperative law as well as corporate disputes.
Mr. Schieber has acted as lead counsel in complex litigations involving varied real estate, commercial and construction disputes. He represents major real estate developers and property owners and advises condominium and cooperative boards, managing agents, owners of unsold shares and owners of blocks of condominium units in all aspects of cooperative and condominium law.
Mr. Schieber has successfully litigated sponsor control and construction defect claims concerning newly-constructed condominiums and conversion projects. He regularly handles lender liability, foreclosure matters, as well as employment and corporate controversies. Mr. Schieber has earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a Richardson Scholar. He has been featured in articles of several publications concerning cooperative and condominium law, including Crain's, The New York Times and the Real Deal, and is an expert in the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act. Mr. Schieber is a member of the Council of New York Cooperatives and Condominiums.
